The 2023 Toyota Camry sedan took first place, earning 88 points out of a possible 100 for reliability. Serious breakdowns of these machines are rare, and the cost of ownership is considered one of the lowest in the industry.

Coming in second place is the 2023 Chevrolet Malibu with a score of 85 out of 100. While this car’s maintenance costs are slightly higher than some of its peers, serious mechanical problems remain relatively rare. The 2020 Kia Optima takes third place with a score of 85 out of 100. Although owners of these sedans visit auto repair shops with regular frequency, they rarely experience serious mechanical problems.

Following are the 2021 Mazda6 (84 points), 2020 Ford Fusion (83 points), 2023 Hyundai Sonata (81 points), 2023 Nissan Altima (81 points), 2022 Volkswagen Passat (81 points), 2023 Honda Accord (80 points) and 2023 Subaru Legacy (80 points).
