Advertisements with Bavarian superhybrids appeared on classification sites. The seller is ready to deliver cars from a European warehouse in two to three months; the Russian price, taking into account duties, disposal fees and registration of EPTS, ranges from 23.9 to 28 million rubles. The European presentation of the BMW M5 Touring G99 series took place in August; in Germany, the basic version costs 146 thousand euros (17 million rubles).

BMW has revived the M5 wagon in the current generation after a 14-year hiatus. Less than two thousand two-volume “em fifths” of the previous series were made, but they plan to release the new product without any circulation restrictions. The Touring’s technology was similar to that of the sedan: both versions became rechargeable hybrids with a 4.4-liter turbo engine and an electric motor built into an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Peak output is a record: 727 horsepower and 1000 Nm, however, the weight is substantial – the curb weight has increased to 2.5 tons. Nevertheless, the two-volume car goes from 0 to 100 in 3.6 seconds, and with the factory options M Driver’s Package it can reach 305 km/h. Even in Europe, the first customers received their cars only a month ago, so the BMW M5 Touring has not yet been seen on Russian roads.

It is curious that as the excitement subsides, the price of super hybrids decreases: if a BMW M5 sedan from stock costs 30.3 million rubles, then station wagons made to order are cheaper, although the ruble has weakened noticeably over the month. However, the final price list will depend on a number of factors: packaging, delivery method and exchange rate.
