The car is based on the top-end Extreme trim, but has been given unique desert-inspired features. The exclusive model will be limited to only 500 units, destined exclusively for the Romanian market, Carscoops reports.

The car features a Sandstone paint finish, special lower body decals, Copper Brown door mirrors and 17-inch black alloy wheels.

The main technical feature is enhanced protection of the engine and gearbox. It is made of 6 mm duralumin sheet.

There are few changes in the interior, but the basic equipment includes: a 10.1-inch multimedia system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, all-round camera and parking sensors.

Under the hood of the Spirit of Sand version is the latest Hybrid-G 150 4×4 hybrid powertrain. It combines a 1.2-liter turbo engine (138 hp) with an additional electric motor on the rear axle (30 hp), a 48-volt battery and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The total output of the system reaches 152 hp, which makes this version the most powerful in the Duster range.

The cost of Dacia Duster Spirit of Sand in Romania is set at € 29 thousand (about 2.9 million rubles at the current exchange rate).

Earlier it was reported that Daimler will present an electric bus, which has a power reserve 2.5 times greater than that of KamAZ.
