AGR Holding and Defetoo have completed the technical re-equipment of another production site. We are talking about the creation of a modern automobile plant based on workshops in Shushary, acquired by the AGR holding in 2024.
It was first reported in early February that the pipeline would be restarted. At its facilities, the AGR company will begin producing three Jeland models – J6, J7 and J8, TASS specified then.
The enterprise was originally built by the American automaker GM, but mothballed it in 2015. Chevrolet Captiva and Chevrolet Cruze were produced here.
Then the line was bought by the Korean Hyundai, but did not manage to relaunch until 2022. There it was planned to launch the production of Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Palisade and Kia Sportage crossovers.
For a long time, production buildings were essentially empty structures, and previously installed equipment was completely dismantled.
In June 2025, the first container with metal structures for the installation of heavy production lines arrived at the company. In total, about 600 containers were delivered.
