Instead of traditional videos with winding roads and racing runs, the brand relied on atmosphere, design and mood, using animals for this.
The UK premiere of Omoda 7 to the general public took place earlier in February as part of London Fashion Week. The marketing campaign is based on the slogan “I’m Not a Supermodel, But This Car Is” and features model Denise Onona, known for her resemblance to Kate Moss. However, what attracted the most attention was a series of promotions designed to showcase certain features of the car.
In order to show the effectiveness of sound insulation and special sound-absorbing glass, Omoda marketers launched cats onto the roof and hood of the car. The animals climbed around the car and meowed loudly outside, while inside the cabin, according to the marketing experts, complete silence should reign.
Carscoops noted with irony that in order to drown out a cat’s purring, special glass is not needed – ordinary car glass would do the job, but they admit that the idea turned out to be “undoubtedly cute.”
It was previously reported that the revived Russo-Balt is preparing an unmanned version of its van.
