The Chinese Cars portal drew attention to: in St. Petersburg on specialized forums and social networks there was a series of complaints about the appearance of the Check Engine indicator. So the crossovers of the Haval Jolion with all -wheel drive responded to an abnormally high atmospheric pressure in the northern capital. Forecasters recorded the values of more than 791 millimeters of the mercury, and the electronics reacted.

Judging by the screenshots in social networks, the “check” among the crossovers of Haval Jolion was due to the error P2229: the boost pressure sensor worked incorrectly. Dozens of owners turned to the dealers, and they began to record for diagnostics at the end of the next week (February 13-14). The “meteorological dependence” of cars with a 150-horsepower GW4B15D engine quickly became the subject of jokes.

Updated Haval Jolion. I would immediately so new Haval F7 – the hero of his era new Haval H3: brutal and musical

It is assumed that the problem will be solved by itself when atmospheric pressure will return to normal. The front -wheel drive Haval Jolion is equipped with another GW4B15K engine, so the failure did not affect them. Anomalous weather influenced not only cars: in St. Petersburg, all the flights of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft were canceled, since it is impossible to enter pressure above 1050 hectopasals in the on-board computer, while 1055 hectopascals reached in Pulkovo.

It is curious that the new Haval F7 crossovers are also equipped with a 1.5-liter GW4B15K turbo engine, but for some reason an increase in atmospheric pressure in St. Petersburg did not affect them. They collect “turbochers” with a capacity of 150 horsepower at the Great Wall plant in the Tula region.
