In Europe, they opened an acceptance of applications for liftbeks and station wagons with a 4×4 system. In the restyled Skoda Octavia fourth generation, such a transmission appeared for the first time. Full-wheel drive is laid for gasoline machines with a 2.0 TSI turbo engine and a 7-speed “robot”, the scheme is the same-the rear axle is connected by a multi-disc couple. The “charged” Skoda Octavia RS is still only with front-wheel drive.

The updated Skoda Octavia debuted a year ago. Initially, there were only monoprodic vehicles in the range, but now buyers of 2.0-liter liftbacks and station wagons can choose. After restyling, the “turbocharger” became more powerful (204 hp against 190 hp), therefore 4×4 version is quite dynamic: acceleration 0-100 takes 6.6-6.7 seconds, depending on the type of body.

The new Skoda crossover produced a splash: the “base” was bought in 10 days updated Jetta VS5 and VS7 in Kazakhstan began to sell the new Skoda crossover local assembly

Sportline Skortline is laid for all -wheel drive Octavia, but the “mechanics” with 4×4 transmission are no longer combined. There are also restrictions on the equipment, so the novelty is by no means cheap: the basic all -wheel drive liftback even in the Czech Republic costs from 830 thousand kroons (33.1 thousand euros), and in Germany prices only begin with 39.8 thousand euros! For comparison, the basic Octavia in their homeland will cost 600 thousand kroons (24 thousand euros).

In Russia, the fourth generation Skoda Octavia gathered for a short time, and now Kazakhstan looks the only adequate supply channel. The neighbors localized the production of liftbacks in the pre -reform version, that is, exactly the same as they were produced at the factory in Nizhny Novgorod.
