The machine is based on the chassis of a KamAZ dump truck of the K5 generation, and the Smolmash plant installs a universal superstructure for road cleaning on it.

The four-axle KamAZ-65951 (8×4) dump truck from the current K5 generation plays the role of a donor platform here. The curb weight of the vehicle reaches 50 tons, while the front axles are designed to carry a load of up to 18 tons, and the rear bogie – up to 32 tons.

The combined road vehicle (KRM) is driven by a 13-liter KamAZ R6 diesel engine with a power of 482 hp, coupled with a 16-speed gearbox. The brake system is pneumatic with electronic control.

Smolmash engineers turned the dump truck into a universal vehicle for road maintenance for all seasons. One of the key features is quick-release equipment for sprinkling roads with sand and reagents. The 14 cubic meter bunker is covered with a thick awning. There is a reagent humidification system with 3000 liter plastic tanks.

If necessary, the spreader can be quickly dismantled, returning the machine to the functions of a conventional dump truck: the installation process takes 15 minutes without additional lifting mechanisms. A 4-meter-wide hydraulic rotating composite blade is installed in front – the use of composites in its design has made the blade lighter and improved snow sliding for clearing roads at high speed.
