The Yiou Auto portal claims: in 2026, the NIO startup will begin to supply the batteries not only of himself, but also with the partner from the Waloking. It is no coincidence that the interaction: McLaren and NIO have a common investor-the state holding of Cyvn from Abu Dhabi. The British manufacturer of supercars belongs to the Arabic fund by 100%, and a young Chinese brand by 20%. Batteries will appear on promising hybrids.

According to unofficial data, the NIO will supply McLaren batteries in small batches, and the Chinese will share 4680 cylindrical cells. However, there is no need to talk about the unification of supercars and mass NIO models: for super -hybrids they will develop exclusive batteries with special characteristics.

Chinese cells will be about 10 kilowatt hours, but neither the chemical composition nor the main characteristics are disclosed. Which McLaren model is the first to “grow up” with NIO, too, is not yet specified. However, a month ago, the CEO of Ferrari hinted that his company also receives batteries from the Middle Kingdom.

Cooperation between McLaren and NIO is possible not only in the field of batteries. Together with partners from the Middle Kingdom, the first crossover of the British brand can be released. The technology will be shared by the FORSEven startup, which also belongs to the Arabic fund Cyvn Holdings.
