Since May 2024, customs officers of the city of Essen, together with the prosecutor’s office of the city of Würzburg, have been investigating a case against a car dealer from the regional center of Miltenberg on suspicion of commercial violation of the embargo on the supply of cars to the territory of the Russian Federation. This car dealership transported 111 cars to Russia with a total value of almost 20 million euros.
Two German citizens, Andreas M. and his former authorized representative Inna V., were sentenced to six years and two months in prison, respectively. True, the assistant was given a suspended sentence.
