One of 415 copies with a rare 2.5-liter engine and a mileage of 63 thousand km was put up for sale on the Drom car portal.
According to the seller, the main feature of the car is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine. Its actual power is estimated at 150 hp, although the title indicates 131 hp. This is not the common ZMZ 406, but a more powerful and rare version. The engine works with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
The car has only 63 thousand km mileage and has had three owners. Extensive work was carried out: the chassis was updated (Bilstein and Kayaba struts, polyurethane silent blocks), all technical fluids and the brake system were replaced, a new exhaust system with elements from Mercedes-Benz was installed, as well as a Starline alarm system with auto start. The body is treated with an anti-corrosion compound.
GAZ-3111 “Volga” is a rare passenger car that was produced as a business class model (E2 segment) at the Gorky Automobile Plant on an experimental basis. Its development took place from 1996 to 1998.
The model premiered at the Moscow Motor Show in 1998, where it was presented along with the 3103 and 3104 concepts. The Volga GAZ-3111 received a dynamic but solid design. The rounded lines of the body provided good aerodynamics, and the convex shapes of the doors hid enhanced protection against side impacts.
Earlier it was reported that the most original Mercedes “gullwing” was auctioned for a record amount.
