A resident of Germany hijacked his own BMW, which had previously stolen from him

A 27-year-old resident of the city of Mannheim, who went behind the wheel of his car to relatives in Romania, fell into an unusual situation. While the man spent time with his family, unknown people stole his vehicle. The car owner immediately turned to the police and the insurance company. During the investigation, the owner found out that his BMW was sold to a resident of Dortmund.

Having installed the whereabouts of his car using GPS, the German went to Dortmund. Finding the car, the man opened it with a key and calmly drove home. Noticing the loss, the new owner wrote a statement about theft. The police tracked the stolen model, and also detained the original owner at the exit of the restaurant, despite the fact that the man presented documents for his car.

Currently, twice stolen BMW worth 12 thousand euros is confiscated, and the initial owner of the car was detained until all circumstances are clarified. The police have to figure out who is the legitimate owner of the car, as well as establish the whereabouts of hijackers from Romania.
