A road train based on the Oka is up for sale

As Motor magazine found out, a 2003 VAZ-1111 is for sale in the city of Orel. According to the seller, the car’s mileage is a modest 21 thousand km. But the uniqueness of the offer is in the trailer, with which the current owner is ready to give the car away.

In this project, a 3-door hatchback acts as a tractor, to which is attached a single-axle trailer made from the rear half of the body of the same Oka. The declared cost of the hitch is 350 thousand rubles.

This option can be considered an interesting proposal for long-distance travel: you can load a very significant amount of luggage into the “luggage section” (plus both the trailer and the tractor are equipped with roof rails).

Let us add that the original VAZ-1111 is equipped with a 2-cylinder engine producing 33 hp, which is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Drive is front-wheel drive.

“Oka” was developed at the Volzhsky Automobile Plant, where it was produced until 1995. From 1987 to 2008, the model was made at the ZMA and SeAZ enterprises. In total, about 700 thousand cars were produced.
