Aito hybrids are almost a third cheaper in Kazakhstan than in Russia

The Chinese Cars portal drew attention to the difference in price: the Aito M5 was valued in Kazakhstan at 23.9 million tenge, which is 4.6 million in rubles, while in Russia the model costs 30 percent more (6.5 −7.2 million rubles). The M7, available in five- and six-seat versions, and the flagship M9 will also cost significantly less in Kazakhstan.

Aito (Adding Intelligence To Auto) is a joint project between Huawei and Seres, part of the Dongfeng concern. On the Kazakhstan market, the interests of the Chinese brand Aito are represented by the Virage company, which has agreed on supplies with Seres International. The first dealership will open in March, where you can buy one of three models, M5, M7 and M9, with a warranty of two years or 100 thousand kilometers.

Prices for models are published by the local publication Autoreport.kz. It is alleged that the Aito M7 crossover will cost from 25.9 million tenge (five million rubles) for a five-seater version and from 26.9 million tenge (5.2 million rubles) for a six-seater version. For comparison, in Russia you will have to pay about seven million rubles for this model.

The flagship SUV Aito M9 will be sold in Kazakhstan at a price of 42.9 million tenge (8.2 million rubles), while in Russia it costs more than nine million.

In our country, exclusive rights to import and sell Aito cars belong to MB Rus, a former importer of Mercedes-Benz. MB Rus signed a distribution agreement with the Chinese Seres Group a year ago, in January 2024.
