Alfa Romeo decorated Tonale, Stelvio and Giulia with “gold”

At the Brussels Motor Show, the Italian brand presented three of its models in the Intensa special series. The Stelvio and Tonale crossovers, as well as the Giulia sedan of the 2025 model year, received special decor and “expensive” trim in black and gold tones. The cost of cars with a new premium design, designed to spur falling sales, starts at $44,495 (about 4.6 million rubles).

A distinctive feature of models with the Intensa prefix is a special finish on the outside and inside. The wheels are painted black with light gold accents; The Stelvio and Tonale have 20-inch wheels, the Giulia has 19-inch wheels. The black brake calipers are decorated with Alfa Romeo inscriptions in the same golden hue, and the side mirror housings are decorated with Italian flags.

Inside, there are dark brown leather seats with Alcantara inserts, light contrast stitching and Alfa Romeo logos on the headrests, and additional accents on the steering wheel. The center armrest and side bolsters of the front seats are embossed with the Intensa logo. By default, cars are equipped with aluminum pedals and steering wheel paddle shifters.

There are no changes in “technique”. The Stelvio and Giulia are available with a 280-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-four, an eight-speed automatic, and standard all-wheel drive. Tonale is offered with a PHEV unit with 285 horsepower or a 2.0 unit with a capacity of 268 horsepower.

Alfa Romeo has slightly updated the interior of the Tonale crossover. The electric Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce has added power. “Charged” Alfa Romeo received a special version in honor of the victory in the race 96 years ago.

In the US, where Alfa Romeo sales fell by 19 percent last year, a special series with “expensive” decor is intended to once again attract attention to the brand. The most affordable option is Tonale, which costs from $44,495 (4.6 million rubles) for the non-hybrid version. Giulia is priced at $49,995 (5.1 million), Stelvio at 55,395 (5.7 million rubles).

In December, enthusiasts estimated that the average Alfa Romeo dealership in the United States sold just seven cars a month. The brand has not yet disclosed results for 2024, but, according to preliminary estimates, it is doing poorly in other markets: it managed to sell approximately 60 thousand units worldwide – a noticeable drop from 70 thousand in 2023.
