In Russia, after a long period of declining sales, there has been a surge in demand for heavy commercial equipment. Thus, according to the results of the first week of March, 1,335 heavy trucks were registered, which is 51% more than the week before.

The KamAZ, Valdai and Dongfeng brands showed an increase in the number of registrations, while the Sitrak and Shacman brands showed a decrease in the number of shipments.

As analyst Sergei Tselikov suggests, in early March KamAZ, Valdai and Dongfeng shipped large quantities of equipment to corporate clients.

The light commercial vehicle segment grew by 30% over the week (to 1,343 units). Domestic brands GAZ, Lada and UAZ came out on top.

Sales of passenger cars amounted to 22.8 units – 8.5% more than the previous week. Lada, Haval, Belgee and Changan showed spring growth.
