The sedan is presented in six modifications. The car received an updated design, a modified intelligent interior, and in addition to the purely electric version, a hybrid modification with an extended range (EREV) appeared. The appearance of the new Alpha S5 is recognizable by its active radiator grille. In profile, the sedan stands out with frameless doors and a two-tone “floating” roof. The stern is decorated with a retractable spoiler with an area of 3430 cm². The body palette has expanded to seven shades, including fresh options Phantom Green, Varna Blue and Lava Gray. The car itself has slightly increased in size: the length has increased by 66 mm (to 4886 mm), the width is 1930 mm, the height is 1480 mm, and the wheelbase is 2900 mm.
Intelligent driving in the Alpha S5 is driven by the Blue Smart Driving Indicator feature, which is a continuation of the Arcfox Alpha S (version L3). The new product is equipped with the BAIC Yuanjing driver assistance system, and the blue indicator lights up when the system is active.
Inside, the front passenger seat is upholstered in zero-gravity cloud velvet and equipped with a built-in footrest. The ceiling is equipped with a “northern lights” lighting system with 256 colors. There are three finishes available: a new fire brown, as well as energy black and light grey.
The new Alpha S5 is available in both a fully electric version and an EREV hybrid version with an extended range. The hybrid is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (77 kW) and a 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor. Power is provided by a 27.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The purely electric range is 230 km (CLTC cycle), and the total range is 1,450 km. Fast charging replenishes the battery from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
