According to operational statistics, in the last full week of March (13th calendar week), 28.6 thousand cars were sold, the head of Autostat reported in his Telegram channel.
The increase compared to the previous week was 19%, and in annual terms sales increased by 36.5%. Thus, the market has demonstrated a confident entry into the growth trajectory, said Sergei Tselikov.
The head of Autostat associates this surge with several factors at once. The early warm spring weather, which traditionally intensifies consumer activity, played a role. In addition, the pent-up demand that accumulated over the winter period began to turn into real transactions.
Also, manufacturers and dealers specially timed the launch of a large number of new products to the market for the spring season, which also fueled the interest of buyers.
However, analysts cite the end of the first quarter as the key reason for the record. Dealerships strive to fulfill the established plans as much as possible in order to receive the due bonuses from importers and manufacturers. This traditional “race for volume” at the end of the reporting period gave a powerful impetus to sales, the expert noted.
Earlier it was reported that sales of the updated Tank 700 would start in China.
