Auto Mail tested 8 sets of summer tires of size 225/60 R18. Four sets were produced in Russia – these are Ikon, Pirelli, Yokohama and Cordiant tires. Michelin is of Polish origin, Hankook is of Indonesian origin, and Sailun is of Vietnamese origin. Finally, Linglong tires come directly from China.
The first place was taken by the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV, and the top three was completed by the Ikon Autograph Aqua 3 SUV and Yokohama BluEarth-XT AE61. Also finishing in the top five were the Pirelli Scorpion Verde and the Hankook Dynapro HPX.
Sailun Atrezzo Elite 2 took sixth place, and Cordiant Gravity SUV took seventh place. The Chinese Linglong Grip Master C/S turned out to be outright outsiders, having earned a lot of negative reviews.
“The behavior at the “rearrangement” is disgraceful. The car requires very intensive steering work to fit between the cones,” experts from Auto Mail note.
As a series of tests has shown, on tires of “celestial” origin the car behaves dangerously: at first it strives to go into a long drift, and then falls into a skid.
