If an accident has blocked a road with a dedicated lane, then it is better to go around it using a dedicated lane. The fine for driving into it is lower than for driving into the oncoming lane. Auto lawyer Lev Voropaev told Motor magazine about this.
“From a safety point of view, driving in a dedicated lane is the preferable option. Such cases happen often, and the courts usually dismiss cases if they prove that it was impossible to travel otherwise,” the lawyer noted.
According to him, if an accident has blocked the roadway, then you can drive into the oncoming lane, but this is the riskiest option. Such a maneuver is permissible only in cases where there are no other ways to avoid the obstacle or are technically impossible.
Prior to this, auto lawyer Voropaev, in a conversation with Motor, explained that for humiliating the honor and dignity of a traffic cop, the driver faces criminal liability under Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the lawyer explained when a Russian is obliged to run a red light.
