The 2026 BMW X7, assembled at the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant from vehicle kits remaining after BMW left Russia, went on sale. The functions of distributor and dealer are performed by a third party company. With the B57D30A 3.0 diesel engine (3.0 l, 249 hp), the cost of the crossover is 12.9 million rubles.

Despite the attractiveness of their price, such cars have a number of disadvantages, notes the Autoreview publication. Thus, in open BMW catalogs there are no VIN codes for these cars, which complicates the ordering of spare parts, as well as carrying out repairs.

The parts that make up the crossovers are not tracked through the online component service. In particular, to replace the pads, manipulations must be authorized in a special way, which requires additional costs.

Instead of a full warranty, the distributor provides a “technical support” product, that is, an insurance policy that is valid for 12 months only in Russia.

Earlier it became known that Russian sales of BMW have doubled. Chinese-assembled equipment accounted for more than half of the demand, and 40 locally assembled Russian vehicles were also recorded.
