According to the head of the agency, Sergei Tselikov, in January-March 2026, 3.8 thousand new BMW cars were registered in Russia, while in the first quarter of last year, when 2 thousand units were sold.
The most popular model among Russians remains the mid-size crossover BMW X3, which sold 1.2 thousand copies – its registrations increased 3.5 times, said the head of Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov.
The top 5 also included four more crossovers: X5 with 647 units (+77%), X1 – 465 units (+189%), X7 – 349 units (+35%) and X6 – 293 units (+17%).
At the same time, Chinese-assembled BMWs accounted for more than half of all registered cars – 51.5%. The share of “real” German cars was 43.5%. Another 3.5% came from BMW from the USA, and 40 locally assembled Russian cars were also recorded.
