Avtotor launched a new conveyor: CHEY will be assembled there

The Kaliningrad plant reported on the welding of the first body on the robotic line. The production of cars in full cycle with welding and coloring was idle for three years, and now Autotor has found a new partner. His name is not called, but in the official picture the body of the crossover is visible – this is Jetour X70 Plus. There will be other models on the new conveyor, because the technology allows this.

It is confirmed that the robotic conveyor of Avtotor can weld several bodies of nozzle models. It will probably be Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus, because last year there were both announcements. It is all the more amazing that in early March, Jetour denied rumors about the beginning of the local assembly of cars in Russia.

However, CHERY can add another sub-brand: according to the Unified Register of Internet resources of Roskomnadzor, the domestic distributor of Dzhetur Motor Rus LLC has already registered domains with the Votour brand. The further expansion of the line of the Kaliningrad assembly machines is also not excluded, because the whole gamma of Chery, Omoda, Soueast, EXEED and JAECOO is one modular T1x platform.

The localization of the entire range of cars in one place in Cheri plans is definitely not included: the Chinese concern has settled at the former Mercedes-Benz plant in the Moscow Region, the former Volkswagen site in the Kaluga Region and the former General Motors plant (Jaeco). However, in all cases, rhythmic production only begins, and the degree of localization is minimal.
