AvtoVAZ appreciated how labor productivity has changed without Renault

The representative of the plant reported to Vladimir Putin how the efficiency of car production changed. The LADA specialist recalled that in 2013, AvtoVAZ entered the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and was able to compare labor productivity. In 2017, the Lada Izhevsk plant took the “Breakthrough of the Year” nomination, and by 2020, the results of AvtoVAZ were higher than on average among the alliance colleagues.

An employee of LADA said that after the Renault departure, former partners predicted the restart of the conveyor in Togliatti not earlier than a year later, and the quality of the cars was supposed to fall to the level of the 1990s. However, according to the results of 2024, AvtoVAZ showed an increase in labor productivity by 30% compared to the level of 2021.

Putin was shown to Vladimir Putin and diagrams, but in the plot the presentation of AvtoVAZ is poorly visible. However, the Russian leader noted that according to the auto giant since 2013, production efficiency has doubled. The representative of AvtoVAZ said that “the economic effect of the implemented measures exceeded one billion rubles.” The factory also emphasized that competition is necessary to be in good shape.

According to the estimates of the head of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov, the production capacities of the auto giant are up to 600-650 thousand cars per year. However, the design capacities of all plants under the LADA wing are almost twice as much: on the conveyors in Togliatti, Izhevsk and Argun, 1.18 million units of equipment can be produced annually.
