The Telegram channel “Russian Automobile”, with reference to “Avtostat-info”, shared statistics on registration of Izhevsk-made cars. In 2024, 19,124 Lada Largus units were registered for the first time: 4,969 vans and 14,155 station wagons. In May, the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, spoke about plans to produce 50,000 Largus by the end of the year, but for a number of reasons it was not possible to achieve this level.
A columnist for Russian Automobile claims that the plan for Largus was sharply raised from 30 to 50 thousand copies. At the end of May, AvtoVAZ Sales and Marketing President Dmitry Kostromin called the sale of 40 thousand Largus vehicles by the end of the year a realistic scenario. However, in the end it was not possible to reach even the 20 thousand copies mark.

Things are better with the production of Lada Largus: by the beginning of December, 30 thousand cars were assembled in Izhevsk. According to insiders, all the sites are packed with cars, and dealers are not confident that the 2024 station wagons and vans will be sold out before the middle of the second quarter. At the end of spring, the Largus will have to be sold at a discount, sources say.
The situation with the 2024 machines will have an impact on production plans in 2025. At first, Maxim Sokolov called 100 thousand vehicles as a target, then Dmitry Kostromin lowered the bar to 90 thousand units, then the plan was sequestered to 70 thousand units, but today the real figure is considered to be no more than 50 thousand Largus.
