Engineers tested one of the Lada Azimut transmissions – a six-speed manual. Currently, such a transmission is used on the Lada Vesta and Lada Iskra models. It is important that the new product will receive a “traction” version of the unit – with a 4.3:1 final drive: a similar option is used on the Lada Iskra SW Cross cross-wagon.

The box was tested at extremely low temperatures (down to -40 ° C), and also tested for dynamic strength and resistance to shock loads.

About a dozen gearboxes went through special bench tests. Currently, as the press service of the auto giant notes, the refinement of the transmission has reached the finishing stage.

AvtoVAZ receives a six-speed manual transmission from its eastern partner, which ships the assembled units to the Russian company, which are then installed on Lada cars.
