By 2030, new federal highways with a length of 647 km will be built in Russia for a trillion rubles

According to the Kommersant publication, the new plan of the Avtodor company has already been approved by the government. Over the course of five years, the amount of funds allocated for the construction and reconstruction of roads will increase by 20 percent. The authorities will allocate about 890 billion rubles through subsidies from the federal budget.

According to the plan, Avtodor will spend 130 billion rubles on the construction of a section of the Dzhubga-Sochi highway in the Krasnodar Territory. Moreover, earlier officials estimated the cost of constructing this road at one and a half trillion rubles. 42.6 billion rubles will be spent on extending the M-12 highway to Yekaterinburg. Another 56.6 billion rubles will be required to expand roads in the Moscow and Kaluga regions from the 65th to the 124th kilometer.

Experts are reconstructing the section of the M-1 highway near Moscow from the 66th to the 84th kilometer for 27.5 billion rubles. In addition, the authorities have allocated one hundred billion rubles for the repair of the M-4 section from Kamensk-Shakhtinsky to the Aksay bypass in the Rostov region, four billion rubles for the construction of new interchanges of the Central Ring Road with Dmitrovsky, Shchelkovsky and Fryanovsky highways, as well as 90 million rubles for the M-interchange 11 near Pulkovo airport.

According to calculations by the Avtodor company, in the next five years, fees from travel on existing toll roads will bring about a trillion rubles to the budget. Experts expect that the most profitable highway will be the M-4, which will earn 415 billion rubles.

In mid-November, the cost of building new toll roads in Moscow became known. Three new highways will require 230 billion rubles.
