The premiere of the serial BYD Song Ultra EV took place on March 3, 2026. Before this, the company published only official renders and disguised test samples. The physical presentation was the final stage before the start of pre-sales, scheduled for BYD Technology Day on March 5. Autohome reports this.
The serial Song Ultra EV received a rooftop lidar for the first time for the family. It works with the “God’s Eye” B (DiPilot 300) system on the 300 TOPS platform, providing autopilot on highways and in the city (NOA). The picture is complemented by cameras around the perimeter of the body for a 360° view.
Inside, the Song Ultra EV features a 15.6-inch rotating screen and a 10.25-inch instrument panel. Thanks to the wheelbase of 2840 mm, the “Big Body” mode is available: the front seats recline completely, joining the rear sofa. On the center console there are two 50-watt wireless chargers, a driving mode selector with a crystal and physical multimedia buttons.
The Song Ultra EV is built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform with a rear-mounted single TZ200XYAV electric motor producing 270 kW (362 hp). The maximum speed of the electric vehicle is 210 km/h.
Official pre-order prices for Song Ultra EV will be announced on March 5th. According to preliminary information, the cost will be 180,000 yuan (approximately 2 million rubles).
Previously, BYD introduced the Song Ultra EV cabin with screens and a folding bed.
