According to the California Energy Commission, the state has 178,549 charging stations for “batteries” cars. At the same time, refueling for traditional cars is noticeably smaller – about 120 thousand. However, the vast majority of EPS are low -power, and the share of fast does not exceed 10 percent.

Most of the charge – 162 178 – these are second -level devices that need several hours to significantly replenish the battery of a modern electric car. And only the remaining 16,971, or 9.5 percent, are fast duckberry devices. Some of them are able to replenish the energy supply by about 150 kilometers in 15 minutes.

At the same time, home charging stations are not taken into account in the calculation. And there are much more of them than public – about 700 thousand pieces, according to the estimates of the California Energy Commission.
