This time, the idea is discussed to set the maximum age for cars at 30 years. If the initiative becomes the law, the owner of the car that has reached this age will be obliged to either send it for disposal or pay for a special examination. Only the examination will be able to recognize the car classic or rare, which will allow it to stay on the road.

This topic is not raised for the first time. Back in 2013, a similar limit was discussed, but for commercial transport. Then it was about restrictions for machines that reached the age of 7 years. Later, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the State Duma returned to the discussion of age -related restrictions, but there were no specific laws. Now attention is again focused on this issue, especially since the mention of the age of 30 for potential rarities is already in the current GOST.

However, experts consider the very idea of a single age limit controversial. So, Sergei Zinoviev notes that the real suitability of the car for operation depends not so much on its age as on the technical condition, design, general run and quality of service. The installation of a strict strip of 30 years for the entire fleet looks doubtful, especially given the existing technical regulation, which already determines in which technically faulty state is prohibited to go on the roads.

The problem of old and faulty machines exists, but experts doubt that the introduction of an age qualification at 30 will become an effective solution. The vast majority of cars in Russia simply do not live up to such a period. According to the market, cars over 30 are only 0.028% of the total volume of offers in the secondary market.

Trucks of four marks from China were recognized as dangerous. Sales are prohibited for the prices of the large electrical unit of ONVO L90 are pleasing, but there is a nuance which cars are popular in Moscow: Rating

It turns out that the proposed measure will affect only isolated cases. Often, these are well -preserved cars with small mileage, which have high cultural or historical value. Forced disposal of such machines can cause fair outrage of the owners and be meaningless in terms of road safety. And here it is worth recalling that in most countries of the world the system of technical inspection continues to operate.

In Russia, now the obligatory inspection remains only for commercial and public transport. This leads to a situation where cars that have developed their resource in a taxi or delivery services are often sold and continue to be used by private individuals without any additional verification of their condition.

Fixing the service life exclusively by age by many experts is recognized as ineffective. The solution to the problem, according to experts, is not in age restrictions, but in the creation of a working, transparent and independent mechanism for evaluating the technical condition of all cars, which will become a real tool, and not another formal norm.
