CENTRAIVA Director General Eduard Mingazhev told Izvestia that at the moment, the support of the domestic automobile industry is premature. The head of one of the largest short -term lease services made it clear: the proposal to introduce the minimum obligatory share of Russian cars in the fleets of operators “can, in principle, destroy the car sharing system itself.”

In the initiative to establish since 2026 the minimum obligatory share of domestic cars for car sharing operators was the head of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy Andrei Kutepov. The senator proposed amendments to the strategy for the development of the automotive industry of the Russian Federation until 2035 and reflect in it short -term lease services.
