The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia supported the distribution of the requirements to the car sharing market, TASS reports with reference to the head of the Ministry of Anton Alikhanov. The Ministry of Industry and Trade “ardently supports” the proposal to extend to the car sharing the requirements for localization similar to the taxi law received from the members of the Federation Council. Alikhanov added that all efforts will be made to quickly accept the document.

The law on taxi localization was adopted in Russia in late May. It will enter from March 1, 2026, but they will give a number of regions a few more years to prepare. According to the law, cars will be included in the registry of passenger taxi only when one of two conditions are met.
