Chinese automaker BAW (Beijing Automobile Works) will officially enter the Russian market. As the editors of Motor magazine learned, the first model that the company will offer to Russians will be the 212 T01 frame SUV.

In July 2025, the BAW concern entered into an agreement with the Moscow company Dealer Asia Auto, which assumed responsibility for the certification, supply and sales of brand cars.

Today, Dealer Asia Auto has one dealership center, offering framed SUVs BAW 212 T01 at a price of 3.8 million rubles and minivans BAW MPV at a price of 2.5 million rubles.

Some modifications of the BAW 212 T01 have been certified, ultimately receiving Vehicle Approval. These cars differ in turbo engine settings (238 hp, 390 Nm) and a Russified media system.

Now another company, Autoconcern BAW, has announced “the start of the official presence of the BAW concern in Russia.” Automotive concern BAW promises to reveal details of the business restart at a special event.

The editors of Motor magazine were unable to obtain immediate comment from Dealer Asia Auto.
