Toyota has the same figure. This was reported by the analytical agency Autostat.
“In the first month of this year, Russians became the owners of 437 thousand used cars. This is 4% more than in January 2025. About a quarter (24.2%) of the secondary car market at the beginning of the year was accounted for by the domestic Lada brand. Thus, in January 2026, 105.6 thousand of these used cars were purchased,” the publication says.
Toyota holds second place with 40.4 thousand cars (about 10% of the market). Kia and Hyundai also made it into the top 5. Among the leaders, only two brands went into the negative compared to January 2024: Lada and Toyota decreased by 5%. The remaining eight showed growth, and Renault gained the best gains – plus 23%.
The first place among used cars in the model rating was taken by Kia Rio – 10.1 thousand units were sold in January. The second and third places were also taken by foreign cars: Hyundai Solaris (9.8 thousand) and Ford Focus (8.3 thousand). The top ten leaders in the secondary market also included five Lada models (Niva, 2114, 2107, Priora, Granta), as well as Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Polo.
Previously, the 10 best family crossovers to buy in 2026 were named.
