Dobrovolsky won the dramatic final of the RDS GP in Krasnoyarsk

This year, each time, one of the main rivals of pilots participating in the main championship of the country in drift-the Russian Drift Grand Prix (RDS GP) is the weather. And the most difficult in this sense was Krasnoyarsk, where the fifth stage ended last weekend. The pair races at the Red Ring Avtodrod turned into a real car synchronous swimming – the downpour that began on Saturday did not stop for a minute on Sunday.

But the weather conditions did not prevent the 22-year-old Timofei Dobrovolsky from the Takayama Forward Auto team, playing at the Nissan Silvia S15, become the winner. In the final race, Dobrovolsky was ahead of his teammate, the most titled pilot of Russian drift George Chivchyan (Nissan 400z). During the race, a collision occurred, and the broken bumper of the car of Dobrovolsky fell under the wheels of Chivchyan.

The judges unanimously gave the victory to Dobrovolsky. Now, in the overall standings of the season, he takes fifth place (533 points), and Chivchyan – the sixth (464 points). The third at the stage was Arkady Tsaregraders (Lecar Office Motorsport, 162 points), who overtook Maxim Grossman (Timeup).

Among the best teams of the stage are Takayama Forward Auto (438), Lecar Obsessed Motorsport (195) and Timeup (187). In the leaders of the season – Anton Kozlov (657), Artyom Shabanov (639), Damir Idiyatulin (632). And in the team standings, Timeup (1227), Takayama Forward Auto (1149) and Fresh Racing (1084) are excited.

The next stage of the RDS GP will be held very soon-August 30-31 in St. Petersburg on Igora Drive, and in the next weekend, August 16-17, the prefinal stage of the RDS Open series will be held on Red Ring in Krasnoyarsk.
