In Spain, at the Kia Ev Day exhibition, the new EV4 family was completely declassified. We are talking about the “battery” classmates of Kia Cerato, which is now called K4. However, the filling is different: the E-GMP platform-Skateboard with a 400-volt electrical system, the McPherson racks in front and a multi-link behind. KIA EV4 buyers will be offered a 4.4-meter hatchback and a 4.7-meter sedan with an unusual feed design.

From gasoline Kia K4, new electric cars differ in 10 centimeters of the wheeled base (up to 2820 mm). Also, a decent factory resistance coefficient (in the sedan CC = 0.23). However, the official pictures show the top versions of the GT-Line with 19-inch discs, and the most “long-range” versions are easier without body kit and with 17-inch wheels.

The interior KIA EV4 is familiar with other electric vehicles of the brand. In front of the driver of a pair of 12.3-inch screens, between which they placed a 5.3-inch flour of climate adjustments. Analog keys remained on the steering wheel and in the center, but there are few of them. Depending on the configuration, the design of the steering wheel and the texture of the front seats differ. An unusual solution for the segment is the fabric finish of the surfaces of door maps and the front panel.
Kia EV4 can only be with a spring suspension, front-wheel drive and a 204-horsepower electric motor. In the basic configuration of a battery for 58.3 kilowat-hour, which promises a range of 410-430 kilometers (WLTP) depending on the type of body. For a surcharge, you can take the battery by 81.4 kilowatt-hour: then autonomy will increase to 590-630 kilometers. But even fast charging is not record in speed: from 10 to 80% you can recharge no faster half an hour.

The production of KIA EV4 starts in South Korea in the middle of the month. Then the prices for the domestic market will be revealed. Later, the hatchback will be prescribed at the factory in Slovakia and will be sold in Europe, the expected price is from 37 thousand euros.
