Exlantix electric cars and hybrids will be tested on Russian roads

Before launching sales, Exlantix decided to find out to what extent its new models are adapted to specific operating conditions. She has started testing the cars – they will travel 45 thousand kilometers across Russia for comprehensive testing. The tests involve the full-size ET crossover and the ES sedan. And only after this, the models that Russians have been waiting for for a year will arrive at dealerships.

The brand’s press service said that as part of the tests on ET and ES, they will check the correct operation of the climate control and measure the level of noise and vibration in the cabin. In previous ET tests in China, noise levels were just 52 dB at 80 kph and 66 dB at 120 kph. At the same time, the tightness was checked: the air leak rate in the crossover cabin was below 80 SCFM or 250 Pa.

During the road tests, which are being carried out in Russia, they will also check whether the Russified multimedia system with a voice assistant works correctly. “Testing will take place in urban, suburban and highway conditions at low temperatures, followed by evaluation of the results obtained,” the company noted.

Particular attention will be paid to the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning) system, consisting of three-zone climate control with air ionization and aromatization technology and a “winter” package, which includes a heated steering wheel, all four seats, mirrors, windshield, washer nozzles, as well as reinforced pumps for heating the traction battery.

The hybrid version of the Exlantix ET crossover has a 400-volt architecture and a “main” electric motor mounted on the rear axle, which develops 265 horsepower. It is paired with a 1.5 petrol engine producing 156 horsepower, which increases the range. On pure electricity, a battery with a capacity of 32 kilowatt-hours allows you to travel 200 kilometers on the Chinese CLTC cycle, and the hybrid mode gives 1518 kilometers. The all-electric version of the model is available with one or two motors with a power of 313 and 480 horsepower. There are also two batteries – 77 or 100 kilowatt-hours, and the power reserve is 540 or 760 kilometers.

The ES sedan, which the company itself calls a four-door coupe, will also be available in electric and hybrid versions. The electric car has an 800-volt architecture and a battery capacity of 82 kilowatt-hours. The power plant includes two electric motors with a total power of 480 horsepower. For the hybrid Exlatix ES, the specifications for the Russian market include an all-wheel drive system, air suspension with a system of constant control and adaptation of stiffness, as well as a “winter” package, including heated windshield, exterior mirrors, steering wheel, all seats and battery
