The list includes three-door models priced from 1 to 2 million rubles and less than 10 years old.

“According to statistics in Russia, over 40% of households consist of one person. And for many, five doors are an unnecessary excess. A three-door hatchback would be the most rational solution for them. First of all, from the point of view of price,” said Sergei Zinoviev, auto expert of the Za Rulem magazine.

First on the list is the Kia Ceed. Restyled versions of the second generation (until 2018) are offered at prices ranging from 900 thousand to 1.7 million rubles. The 1.6 engine (130 hp) with an automatic transmission is considered the most reliable combination, with a service life of 300 thousand kilometers. Despite the not very durable paint layer, the bodies of these cars usually do not rot.

Toyota Yaris takes second place. A rare guest from the American market, where left-hand drive versions with a 1.5 engine (106 hp) and a reliable 4-speed automatic transmission were supplied. Prices start at 1.5 million rubles, but it is difficult to find such a car due to low liquidity and the reluctance of owners to part with their cars.

Fiat 500 is in 3rd place. The model was officially sold in Russia until 2017, so on the secondary market there are copies with 1.2 (69 hp) and 1.4 (100 hp) engines in combination with Dualogic “mechanics” or “robot”. Prices vary from 1 to 2 million rubles. The expert notes the reliability of naturally aspirated engines, but warns of difficulties in repairing the robotic gearbox.

In fourth place is the Volkswagen Beetle. The second generation Beetle is valued for its comfort, ergonomics and good corrosion resistance of the body. However, its turbo engines (1.2, 1.4, 1.8) are demanding on fuel quality (AI-98) and capricious. The price of cars less than 10 years old is from 1.3 million rubles.

Fifth place goes to Mini Hatch. The most popular three-door hatchback in the premium segment. Versions One with a 1.5 engine (136 hp) can be found for 1.5-2 million rubles. The model is famous for its excellent handling and body corrosion resistance, but the cost of maintenance is high due to its “premium” status.

The top 6 is completed by the DS 3 model. A rare guest, which was officially sold in Russia with a 1.2 PureTech engine. The expert advises looking for European versions with a 1.6 diesel engine and manual transmission, since the gasoline engine has problems with the timing belt in an oil bath. The price for cars 8-10 years old is from 1 to 1.5 million rubles.

Earlier, the most popular crossovers that Russians are driving from China became known.
