If a liter of gasoline really costs about $ 300, then every weekend will spend 80-100 thousand dollars on fuel. For 24 races, expenses will amount to 1.9-2.4 million dollars: much more than the teams spend now. Not all groups have partnerships with oil companies, so costs can be even higher. The fact that in 2026 gasoline is not included in the budget limit is a weak consolation.

FIA took into account the concern of the teams, but in 2026 the situation cannot be corrected. In 2027, the parties hope to curb the increase in fuel costs, for example, to switch to a combustible single standard with relatively cheap ingredients.
