GAC’s immediate plans include introducing electric Aion V and Hyptec HT to the Russian market. A little later, the flagship crossover S9 will debut. The GAC company told Rossiyskaya Gazeta about this.
At the beginning of March, GAC announced the start of sales of the S7 hybrid crossover in Russia. The EV+ platform model is aimed at competing with premium cars like the Li Auto L6.
In addition, at the end of February, GAC suspended sales in the Russian Federation of its most affordable crossover, the GS3. The company does not rule out that the model will return to the market later – but in an updated form.
Before this, it was reported that GAC would develop cars specifically to meet the requirements of Russians. China’s Ministry of Industry recently announced that cars manufactured in China will no longer use hidden door handles. GAC Group design director Ka Dan told Motor magazine whether this rule would apply to Chinese cars produced for the Russian market.
Earlier it was clarified whether it is legal to film a taxi passenger.
