The Galaxy M7 is positioned as a family car and represents Geely’s bet on record-breaking range. With a charged battery and a filled tank, the maximum range for the car is more than 1.7 thousand km: in particular, this is the distance on the road that needs to be covered to get from Moscow to Samara.
The power plant is built according to a series-parallel circuit. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a power of 110 hp, paired with an electric motor. A lithium=iron phosphate traction battery with a capacity of 29.8 kWh allows a pure electric range of up to 225 kilometers. A full tank and battery charge, according to the manufacturer, will be enough for 1,730 kilometers.
Geely engineers have used a number of proprietary technologies here: the battery pack is equipped with an advanced thermal regulation system and supports fast charging. The thermal efficiency of a gasoline engine is more than 47%.
Externally, the Galaxy M7 follows the style of the older M9 model: a recognizable LED jumper across the entire width of the body, two-tone paint and a “smart” tailgate with a sensor. The length of the car is 4770 mm, the wheelbase is 2785 mm. The interior features a large media system screen, 256-color interior lighting and a Flyme Sound audio system with 23 speakers.
Among the competitors of the new product from Geely are crossovers from the BYD Song family. Geely intends to lure their customers with its power reserve and interior space. Sales of new items in China should start in April. Presumably, the price of the Geely M7 Galaxy will be included in the most popular hybrid segment, which costs 100-150 thousand yuan (1.2-1.8 million rubles) in China.
The previously updated Lexus minivan received silent tires.
