As Motor magazine learned, since March, medium-duty trucks of the Lawn and Sadko families have been equipped with modernized platforms, the sides of which are made of galvanized steel. In this case, the platforms are additionally subjected to cataphoretic priming before painting.

Cataphoretic priming is a high-tech process of applying a protective paint coating to metal products using the electrodeposition method (in a energized bath).

Earlier, in November 2025, the Gorky Automobile Plant switched light-duty vehicles to galvanized sides. The innovation affected the Sobol and Gazelle models of all three generations – Business, Next and NN.

Thus, all flatbed trucks produced by Nizhny Novgorod (Gazelle, Soboli, Lawns and Sadko) will be able to offer carriers “stainless” cargo platforms.
