Haughting half of expensive foreign cars began to be imported into Russia

According to Avtostat analysts, from January to April 2025, 27 thousand new premium and luxury machines were imported in the Russian Federation. This is 56 percent less than the same period of last year. So, in the first four months of 2024, 61 thousand such cars were brought into the country.

The leader among premium brands in the number of cars imported into Russia is the Chinese Tank. In January-April, 8.3 thousand cars were imported-four percent more than a year earlier.

The second place is occupied by BMW with four thousand cars, the third-Mercedes-Benz C 2.3 thousand. Import volumes decreased by 16 and 10 percent, respectively. Further in the top five – again the “Chinese”: Lixiang with 1.8 thousand and EXEED with 1.5 thousand. The fall is even more serious than that of the “Germans” – 83 and 90 percent, respectively.

Of the luxury machines, Rolls-Royce and Bentley were most imported. However, the numbers here are small: 94 cars were imported at the first brand (plus 12 percent), the second – 69 (minus eight percent). The third place is occupied by Lamborghini with 42 cars.

Also in January-April, 39 new Ferrari, 12 Aston Martin and three Maserati arrived in Russia.

Sales of “premium” in April fell by a third. The Russians bought 10.2 thousand premium cars in a month, which is 35 percent less than in April 2024. The share of the segment in the general structure of the market also decreased – from 11.4 percent a year ago to 10.
