Haval hinted to the Russians about the imminent premiere of the new Pro all-terrain vehicle

The announcement of the new product appeared on the brand’s website. In the SUV section of the Pro line, which already includes the H3, H5 and P9, another model has appeared marked “coming soon.” It is believed that we are talking about the H7, also known in China as Big Dog. This is a mid-size all-terrain vehicle, which outside the KRN will be sold with a two-liter engine and a hybrid power plant.

The second generation DaGou/Big Dog was confirmed for Russia at the beginning of this year, at the same time it became known that in export markets it will carry the H7 index. This is a mid-size crossover 4.7 meters long with a monocoque body and basic front-wheel drive. Outwardly, it resembles the first generation Dargo, but at the same time it looks more expressive. Inside, the H7 has a virtual instrument panel and a separate tablet for the multimedia system.

Haval

Two modifications have been announced for the export Haval H7. The first is with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 199 horsepower, the second is with a hybrid power plant based on a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine. The latter can operate in both parallel and sequential mode, consuming “according to the passport” 1.8 liters per 100 kilometers.

According to unofficial data, the production of crossovers for Russia can be organized at the facilities of the Haval plant in the Tula region, which was unloaded with the transfer of the M6 model to Kaluga. Earlier, Kommersant, with reference to the declaration received by Havel Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC, reported that serial production of hybrids could indeed be organized near Tula. The declaration indicates the index B16G, which, apparently, hides H7.

Hybrids are a rapidly growing segment of the Russian car market. According to Autostat, in January-October this year, sales of hybrid cars jumped six-fold, to 31.7 thousand units. The leading brands are Lixiang, Voyah, Tank and Aito. The release of hybrids also promises to support the state, and the Ministry of Transport may allow them to drive on toll roads for free.
