As Carnewschina reports, the car has a code name. The exact details will become known on April 10 during the premiere.
The Haval HX is a large crossover with three rows of seats, built on the modular GWM One architecture, which supports five types of powertrains: internal combustion engine, hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), pure electric (BEV) and hydrogen fuel cell (FCEV).
The Haval HX looks like an angular SUV with a flat roofline, traditional door handles and multi-spoke chrome wheels.
The front part received large rectangular headlights, a narrow radiator grille and a wide air intake. Also equipped are extended wheel arches, lidar on the roof and a plastic body kit along the lower part of the body. At the rear there is a hinged door with a full-size spare wheel. The rear suspension is multi-link independent.
The exact characteristics of the Haval HX have not yet been disclosed, but the model is positioned as the brand’s flagship. The new product received a modern driver assistance system. It supports autopilot and automatic parking functions.
The GWM One architecture on which the HX is built is already familiar from the recently released Wey V9X flagship crossover. The latter has a 2-liter turbo engine producing 235 hp. paired with two electric motors, an 800-volt system and an electric motor on the rear axle producing 402 hp. All this gives reason to believe that the Haval HX will receive a similar setup.
Considering that Haval is GWM’s global brand, present in South Africa, Australia and other countries, there is a high probability that the new HX will become a global flagship and will appear outside of China.
