In the first three months of this year, 47.5 thousand passenger cars older than 3 years were imported from Japan to Russia. As analysts from the Avtostat agency calculated, this is 32% more than a year earlier.
Most often, used Toyota (15,152 units), Honda (15,136 units), Suzuki (4,243 units), as well as Mazda (2,497 units) and Volkswagen (1,865 units) come from Japan. Moreover, Volkswagen was ahead of its Japanese competitors – the Nissan and Mitsubishi brands.
The leader in the rating of models is the Honda Freed (4122 units). It is followed by Honda Stepwgn (3728 units), Honda Fit (2968 units), Toyota Corolla (2743 units), and the top 5 bestsellers are closed by Suzuki Jimny (2479 units).
Earlier it became known that imports of used cars from China to the Russian Federation increased by 145%. Active import of used cars from China began only in 2023, and before that its volumes amounted to only a few.
In the first three months of this year, 19.4 thousand used passenger cars (over 3 years old) were imported from China to Russia. This is almost 2.5 times more than in January-March last year (+145%).
