In 2025, almost 3.2 thousand new cars of the Japanese brand were registered in our country, which is 18% more than a year earlier. Registrations of used Honda cars in Russia during the same period increased by 12%.
This data was provided by the general director of the analytical agency Autostat, Sergei Tselikov. Against the backdrop of growth in Russia, the production of Honda cars in the world decreased.
“According to Autostat, in 2025, 3,166 new Honda cars were registered. This is 18% more than in 2024. Also, over the past year, Russians imported 78.3 thousand used Honda cars (+12%),” Tselikov wrote.
Production of Honda cars in Japan in 2025 decreased by 0.5% and amounted to 689.8 thousand units; at foreign factories, the production of cars of the Japanese concern fell by 11%. The most significant drop was recorded in the countries of Southeast Asia: in Indonesia by 47%, in Malaysia by 22%.
Honda’s output also decreased in the world’s largest markets, China and the USA – by 16% and 6%, respectively.
Previously, the former GM plant in St. Petersburg resumed work.
