The Japanese brand has been developing hydrogen technologies in the automobile sector for a long time. Now, in the North American office, the brand, together with Sierra Space and Tec-Masters, are going to test their own developments in space. According to engineers, the water system, which continuously produces oxygen, hydrogen and electricity, will become part of the infrastructure that supports human life on the surface of the moon.

During the tests, the electrolysis system will work from solar energy, producing hydrogen and oxygen from water during the lunar day. When direct sunlight does not fall on the surface of the Earth’s satellite, part of the oxygen will be used for breathing by astronauts.

The remaining oxygen along with hydrogen is designed to generate electricity, by analogy with hydrogen cars. The water formed in the process will return to the electrolysis system through the closed cycle.

The Baikonur Baikonur technique and KIA will engage in the Land Rover space technique for a lottery flight into space

According to developers, such a technology in the future will reduce transportation costs when mastering the moon. Scientists will check the system’s performance in the conditions of microgravity at the International Space Station.

In 2022, the Geely subsidiary sent about a dozen satellites into space. Using devices, experts plan to create an exact system for positioning unmanned vehicles.
