Hyundai Motor will explore the possibility of returning to Russia

Now the concern’s refusal to continue working in the Russian Federation is associated with the Ukrainian events.

“Nevertheless [в компании] stated that they intend to continue to study the possibility of returning to the Russian market if risks, such as the conflict in Ukraine, are eliminated,” TASS reports citing the Yonhap agency.

In addition, it became known that Hyundai refused to buy out its former automobile plant in St. Petersburg. The brand said it will continue to provide warranty repairs and customer service for previously sold vehicles and will continue to provide these services in the future.

The Hyundai Motor plant in St. Petersburg, opened in 2010, produced the Hyundai Solaris, Hyundai Creta and Kia Rio models. Its production capacity exceeded 200 thousand cars per year.

The operation of the enterprise was stopped in March 2022 due to disruptions in the supply of components that followed the start of a special military operation in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia they sell a VAZ-2101 with lambo doors and a powerful engine.
