The novelty debuts in a few days and will become part of the Beijing Hyundai joint line. The prototypes of the all -terrain vehicle have already experienced severe frosts.
A joint company Beijing Hyundai published a video from the winter tests of its first electric crossover. So far, the nameless model will receive a design uncharacteristic for other electric cars, but most likely will be built on a common platform with them. The premiere is scheduled for March 28.
The Beijing Hyundai Motor, founded in 2002, produces Hyundai models for the Chinese market. Today in the range there are Elantra and Sonata sedans, crossovers Tucson, Santa Fe, Mufasa, as well as Custo minivan. There is only one electric car in China for Hyunde – this is Ioniq 5 N hatchback, which represents the global ruler.
The new crossover, apparently, will be built on the “carts” of the E-GMP, which underlies large Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. General with the ninth “Ionik” may also be a power plant with a capacity of 110.3 kilowat-hours, providing up to 620 kilometers of the WLTP cycle. The top IonIQ 9 accelerates to the first “hundreds” in 5.2 seconds and is charged with a peak power of 350 kilowatts.
